New tree?

I have to snap a picture, but we have a new tree.  Apparently the tree that we had previously, had the type of roots that didn't react well with the clay our neighbourhood is built on.  To put it simply, in time the roots would have caused some serious issues with our foundation, which is a bad thing.  Anyway, stay tuned for pictures.

Paint on the driveway and lawns??

So for some reason the Gas company and Bell have come by and painted the lawns again marking where everything is buried.  After chatting with some of the neighbours, the assumption is that it's time for some trees to get planted.  The word on the street is that some of the trees that are currently in the ground are not supposed to be the ones being used so they might be getting replaced.

Anyway, whatever they do, I'm kind of hoping they'll move our tree to the side.  It's basically right on the property line and not in the best location.

We have a DRIVEWAY!!!!!

After some hard work by the boys, we finally have a driveway.  It will be nice to be free of all those rocks and mud.  

Running down the driveway on Garbage Day in my PJ's and barefeet was starting to leave scars.  Thank heavens that's over with.

They finally finished painting the outside of the house as well, so looks like the outside is finally done.

We have a LAWN!!!!

At long last we have a lawn.  It's funny how something like that can your daily life but it definitely has.  We now find ourselves actually finding time to be in the yard, the kids and animals are loving it, and so are we.  We have a few things to finish up to make the yard what we really want, but the deck will have to wait until next year as I've had enough construction for now.

We have MORE dirt.

So here it is, many months later, and no real update.  Well here you have it.  We finally have top soil so the lawn can't be far behind.  WOO HOO!!!

So I finally had a chance to snap some pictures and post them on the site.  Here is most of the downstairs.  Not much decorating done for obvious reasons but it is starting to feel like home.

So we've been in for a bit and I haven't had a chance to put up any pictures but here are a couple of snapshots that come from Bryce's birthday party showing the main floor when standing on the first landing.
